‘Long Whiskered Dragon’ Pattern Certified by NGC Sells for Nearly $700,000
A Chinese Silver Pattern certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) realized nearly $700,000 in a recent Heritage Auctions sale. It was one of 15 NGC-graded coins that realized six-figure prices in the World Coins Platinum Session and Signature Auction on June 21, 2023.

A Chinese Sinkiang Provincial Bank 6,000,000,000 Yuan = 10,000 Gold Yuan Pick S1797 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ, the largest known denomination for any Chinese banknote, drew the largest result ever when it more than doubled its pre-auction estimate, ending at $78,000.

People’s Republic Chinese Lunar Series Gold Proof Scalloped 10000 Yuan (Kilo)
People’s Bank of China has been issuing collectible coins made with precious metal since 1979. In 1992, it released its first Chinese Lunar signs Kilo series, also known as the First Issue (1981-92) Chinese Lunar Complete Set Commemorative Issue. Proposed by the famed British numismatist Sir John Evans to be the ‘true’ first portrait of an English king on the coinage prior to the Tudor issues inaugurated by Henry VII, we have been able to locate only seven pieces remaining of this issue, three of which are in private collections, with this likely being the finest known.
